We have developed an OJEU compliant framework for the provision of cleaning services for schools across the North East.
The framework set to be worth £10million in the next four years, has been awarded to Orian Solution Ltd – a facilities management company based in Cumbria which will utilise local North East labour to deliver the services under the contract.
Orian Director, Alistair Irvine said: “This is an excellent opportunity for us and we’re very excited to get started in September.”
The brand-new framework will provide schools with a fast, cost-effective solution for their cleaning needs. We will support the schools throughout the process to implement the contract and provide contact management, giving a helping hand for those schools who don’t have an in-house procurement team.
We worked closely with Ponteland Community High School, Prudhoe Community High School and St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy on the first contract under the new framework.
Aileen Cowan, business manager at Prudhoe Community High School, said: “Prosper lead the procurement exercise for the renewal of the Cleaning Contract for the three schools, resulting in the contract being awarded to Orian. We are delighted with the result and look forward to working with Orian and continue working with Prosper to ensure the high standards expected are achieved.”
Rod, said: “We were delighted when the schools approached us to consider developing a procurement solution to provide cleaning services. We quickly identified a need for this across the region, so we set up the framework to cover this area but also delivered everything the three schools needed.
“It has been a great opportunity to build a relationship with the three schools and we look forward to continuing to work with them and other schools in the future.”
The framework is available for use by other schools, academies, colleges, multi-academy trusts, Universities and any other education establishments and local authorities across the North East.
