Our History

A North-East based strategic business consultancy, Prosper, is made up of a team of skilled experts, operating within the public sector. Formed in 2008, we are now regarded as the partner of choice for many landlords, schools and local authorities in the region.

Prosper offers a number of core services, Business Transformation Delivery, New Build Development Consultancy and expert efficiency driven Procurement Solutions.

2008

How it All Began

NE Procurement, was formed for North East Social Landlords to create greater efficiencies via unified procurement.

The founders were Your Homes Newcastle, Beyond Housing, Housing Hartlepool, Thirteen Group, South Tyneside Homes, Karbon Homes, Northumberland County Council and Dale and Believe Housing.

Iain Sim appointed as Chair of the Board of NE Procurement.

2009

Year Summary

Our first frameworks were launched for Consultants and Internal Labour.

2010

Year Summary

Social values activities were put into place.

2012

Year Summary

New Frameworks

Two new frameworks were added to our portfolio - Renewable Materials and Renewable Labour. 

2013

Year Summary

Social Value fund contribution to local community projects broke the £1 million barrier.

2014

Year Summary

As a revamped materials framework was launched. 

2015

Year Summary

We expanded the procurement team to support the delivery of our consultancy services. 

2016

Year Summary

To date, over 100 projects have been created as a result. 

2017

Year Summary

Our organisation went through a rebrand and NE Procurement became Prosper.

Barry Pollock, Charlotte Murchie and Rod Brasington all became directors on our new board and Ian Johnson became our new Chair.

2018

Year Summary

We issued our first Dynamic Purchasing System for the Distribution of Materials.

2019

Year Summary

Our Development & Construction and Design & Consultancy DPSs go live

Broke the £2m barrier for reinvesting in the North-East communities

Moved to our new offices at, Silverlink Business Park

2020

Russell Thompson, Executive Director of Property Services at Thirteen Group, joined our Board.

We launched our FM & Compliance and Asbestos Services solutions.

Launched Kitchen Supply Direct Award Framework

Launched Passive Safety Fire Framework 

Developed the Decarbonisation Retro-Fit Framework (including refurbishment works) 

Our team expanded by 2 new Apprentices, in Business Admin and Procurement.
