Rod joined the Prosper team in 2014, bringing a wealth of commercial experience and knowledge from his work in housebuilding and the banking sector. While Rod has led the organisation, he has changed the organisation’s look and feel, processes and general morale of the business, while developing a value driven culture with collaborative partnerships at the core of everything Prosper does. The business continues to evolve focussing on providing partners with innovative procurement solutions. Rod is determined to see the Prosper team flourish and continue to be seen as a leader in the field. In Rod’s spare time, you’ll find him at his nearest tennis court.
Tim Jennett
Head of Procurement – Design
Tim spent his early career as a scientist, then moved gradually into procurement within a multi-national blue-chip company, before making his most recent switch into the public sector. Tim is MCIPS qualified and is an expert in procurement regulations. Tim always seeks to strengthen and improve ways of working and loves to address complex issues. He works with the Prosper team to find efficient and effective solutions that are compliant with Public Procurement Regulations. Tim is a long-suffering supporter of Sunderland AFC.
Rebecca Griggs
Head of Procurement - Delivery
Rebecca has grown with Prosper starting her journey as a Business Administration Apprentice more than 10 years ago. Rebecca has progressed throughout the years and now as Head of Procurement - Delivery she is responsible for delivering our operational procurement Tenders / Further Competitions / Direct Awards. Rebecca manages the entirety of a tender process from the market engagement stage through to Contract Management handover. She develops bespoke tender packs, undertakes commercial evaluations both at Commercial tender stage and Framework level and ensures comprehensive handover to Contract management is achieved. In addition, Rebecca is currently studying towards MCIPs qualification and more recently has become an ambassador for Women In Social Housing (WISH) NE. Rebecca is the joker of the team. In her spare time Rebecca spends time with her partner and young daughter.
Carly McKale
Procurement Officer
Carly is an experienced Procurement professional with a strong track record of getting the job done. Carly works with both Tim and Rebecca to deliver outcomes for our partners while taking the lead in the evaluation of all DPS solutions and is currently studying for MCIPS qualifications. Outside of work Carly enjoys country trips with her dogs Bella and Katy.
Sarah Wilson
Partner Relationship Manager
Sarah is the newest addition to our team, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge from working with customer care within the housebuilding/ construction sector. Within her role she is responsible for engaging with our key partners to build trusting relationships and perform high level contract management for our solutions to ensure maximum client satisfaction
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the gym, keeping fit and healthy, walking and hiking.
Dave Dawson
New Build Specialist
Dave has worked in senior management roles within the house-building industry for the past 30 years and brings a wealth of new build knowledge and contract management experience to the team. Dave’s role involves providing specialist support to obtain planning permission for development sites and with assistance to then dispose of the opportunity. Dave has a passion for motor sports and can be seen in the Monaco crowds enjoying the grand prix.
Haley Steen
Operations Executive
Haley graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in International Business Management, this helped to build the knowledge to successfully implement new strategy and projects for Prosper. As operations executive, Haley is responsible for ensuring all operational activities are co-ordinated and implements and coordinates the company’s marketing strategy. Haley is also delivery a range of strategic research projects for the team. When not in the office, her time is spent with friends, and exploring Newcastle.
Heidi Molloy
Business Admin Apprentice
Heidi is our Business Administration Apprentice; she benefits from gaining practical work experience while continuing with a structured learning programme to provide qualifications. In her role, she works across the business including finance, work planning and compiling reports and summaries for Partner Relationship Management activities.
When she is not working, Heidi loves nothing more than to spend time with her family and friends, especially when this involves food and drink.
Charlotte Bell
Procurement Apprentice
As our Procurement Apprentice, Charlotte is following a structured programme to develop her practical work experience while working towards professional qualifications. Charlotte assists our Procurement team through the tendering process for both our framework solutions and operational tenders.
In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys weight training at the gym and supporting Newcastle United.

Ian was appointed Director of Property Services of Karbon Homes at the start of 2018 after a period where he was Director of Operations at Homes for Northumberland and then Chief Executive of Tyne Housing Group. He started his career as housing officer at Sunderland Housing Group in 1997 and then progressed to become Tenancy Enforcement Officer. He then joined Blyth Valley Housing as Anti-Social Behaviour Unit Manager – a role he held for over four years before progressing as Head of Safer Neighbourhoods Unit and then Business Planning and Support Manager at Homes for Northumberland.
Former professional footballer Ian became Chair of Prosper in February 2017 and is committed to building the business to reflect the needs of the North-East Housing sector which he is passionate about. He has already overseen a Governance Review, Corporate Rebrand, re-engineering of the Operating Model and the migration of the IT estate to a new more effective solution….quite a start!
In his spare time Ian is also Chair of the Board at Age Concern South Tyneside and as a keen runner can often be seen pounding the streets of Blyth.

Barry is one of three managing partners at The Works – a full service marketing, advertising and digital agency. He has over 25 years’ marketing and advertising experience and has worked with a wide range of clients in social housing, construction and procurement.
Barry recognises that a brand is much more than just a logo or name; it’s the personality and culture of an organisation and what sets it apart from competitors. As well as spending time with his wife and teenage daughter, Barry is also the proud owner of a dachshund called Kylo who he loves to walk in his free time.
Alan Smith
Executive Director
Alan is Executive Director of Investment, Growth & Performance at Believe Housing. Alan's previous experience includes a spell of more than six years at Livin as Executive Director of Finance and Governance, five years as Director of Finance with Derwentside District Council, and two years as Director of Resources at Sedgefield Borough Council. Alan is committed to making a real positive difference to the experience of tenants across the North East and believes his role will with Prosper will help him to achieve this. Alan will help to oversee and identify opportunities for Prosper’s investment growth.
Alan is another of our Executive Board Directors who has a pet dachshund, Dylan. In his spare time Alan loves to listen to music, go to concerts, run, dabble in the garden and support Newcastle United.
Russell Thompson
Executive Director
Russell is the Executive Director of Assets at Thirteen Group and has responsibility for the Group’s Assets, Facilities Management, major refurbishment and investment programmes. Russell has a wealth of experience in asset & property management and spent 10 years as a consultant prior to joining Thirteen. He has also been a non-executive director for three organisations. Russell is the new chair of the Direct Works Forum, a membership group of 120 housing providers and sits on the National Housing Federation’s national group "Quality of existing Homes". He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and is a committee member of the York Hub.
Russell is passionate about making a difference and helping others to be successful and is committed to changing the way we do things for the benefit of future generations. In his spare time Russell enjoys watching football his team being Manchester United and when possible the odd game of golf and spending time with his family.
